Now that we (kinda) have mouse support it is a lot easier to use the iPad for workflows that require more precise selection and control than traditional finger and Pencil input.
The ability to use desktop-like versions of popular sites such as Google Docs, Squarespace and Figma mean that we are one step closer to turning the iPad into a more capable second device to a laptop.
Unfortunately, that day is not upon us yet as Figma was most certainly not designed to run in this environment.
My hope is that one day I’ll be able to leave my laptop and large monitor at the office and use the iPad for ad hoc amends to projects on the go.
For a while, I suspected that a great second device option would be the 12 inch MacBook. Now I feel as though the iPad could fill that need for me once more sites are updated to work properly in mobile Safari.
