The iPad is one step closer to being the UX design tool of my dreams

The iPad and Mac are on a collision course, and that’s good news for all of us

I have been obsessed with the idea of going iPad-only for several years. From the early days of the iPad, I realised the potential of the device to be one of the most versatile computers I have ever owned.
Add a keyboard and mouse, and you have the world’s most portable Mac.
Add an external monitor, and you have an iMac running iPadOS.
Remove the keyboard and mouse and add the Apple Pencil, and you have an incredible tool for creating art, mocking up designs and capturing notes quickly in a fun and intuitive way.

I work in UI/UX Design which requires me to use a Mac. macOS is just more fun and easier to use, and best of all, it stays out of your way. Unlike Windows, macOS does not nag you for updates and continually reminds you that it’s doing stuff in the background. It just gets out of the way and allows me to build workflows on top…
